General Policies
The Conference Co-Directors and the President of the American Mock World Health Organization are the only staff members empowered to grant exceptions to any Conference policies or other general AMWHO 2024 practices. AMWHO 2024 is not liable for any erroneous statements made by other staff members regarding exceptions to fees or policies. Delegate behavior should reflect you and your academic institution at all times. Delegates are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful of other delegates, staff, residents, and property. Delegates are liable for any damages to conference and premise property. Delegates are expected to behave in a manner that respects their person and their peers. Any and all injuries should be reported to the Conference Co-Directors immediately. Should any medical emergency arise, please first call 911.
Alcohol and Drug Policy
Only those delegates age 21 or older may consume alcohol in North Carolina. North Carolina state laws also stipulates that alcohol cannot be purchased Monday through Saturday from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM and Sundays from 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Open containers of alcohol may not be carried in public areas, including committee rooms and hallways. Previously opened bottles of alcohol should be carried in a car trunk. No alcoholic beverage may be removed from the licensed premises at any time that alcohol sales are not allowed by law. North Carolina defines a .08 percent blood alcohol content (BAC) as legally intoxicated. “Implied consent laws” require a driver to comply with breath, blood, or urine testing for intoxication if a law enforcement officer requests it.
Delegates found possessing or using illicit drugs, as defined by United States federal law, will be required to leave the conference premises immediately and may be held criminally liable.
